The project consists of a pumped storage complex, with a total capacity of 590 MW, with two independent savers and aims to the production and large-scale storage of electricity. The lower saver of the system consists of the artificial lake of Kastraki, in the administrativeborders of the District of Amfilochia, in the Municipality of Aitoloakarnania.
