The IGB Interconnectorintents to connect the Greek National Natural Gas System (NGS) with the Bulgarian equivalent, starting from the Komotini region. The IGB will have a length of 182 km, a diameter of 32 inches and an initial transport capacity of 3bcm/y with the possibility of upgrading (with the addition of a compressor) to 5bcm/y. IGB will transport gas from Greece to Bulgaria, being an alternative source of supply to the nearby country and the wider region.
