The project consists of a new bidirectional hydrogen pipeline of approximately 570 km with a capacity of 0.9 Mt/year or 80 GWh/d to and from Bulgaria.
The purpose of the project is to transport clean hydrogen (H2) mainly from the southern part of Greece, to the Interconnection with Bulgaria.
The project is the Greek part of a planned cross-border hydrogen network between Greece and Bulgaria with the aim of creating the first hydrogen interconnection point between the two countries.
