Project Briefing:

The project concerns the construction and operation of a Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Import Terminal with a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) and the interconnection of the unit, via an onshore pipeline, with the National Natural Gas Transmission System (NNGTS). The FSRU will have LNG storage tanks with a capacity of up to 210,000 m3 and a capacity of regasification and input to the system of 132,000 KWh /day (48.2 million KWh per year), operating 24 hours per day/365 days a year.

LNG will be received by LNG Carriers with a maximum storage capacity of 263,000 m3  (which will be anchored in parallel at  the FSRU unit - ship to ship transfer) and will be stored in the specially designed cryogenic tanks of the FSRU unit.

It will then be regasified within the plant and fed into the National Natural Gas Transmission System (NNGTS). Besides the direct supply of natural gas in the NNGTS the unit has the capacity to reload LNG to ships of smaller tonnage or to tanker trucks. Finally, the installation, with the addition of appropriate equipment, will have the ability to directly import hydrogen into the National Network (Hydrogen-ready). The investment plan mainly concerns the construction of the mooring pier for natural gas transmission vessels, the purchase and conversion of a ship into an FSRU unit, as well as the construction of a pipeline network and interconnection infrastructure with the NNGTS.
