The investment project concerns: (a) the fundamental transformation of the production process of the Milaki cement plant, including in particular the installation of a new innovative calcination unit, a chlorine bypass system, units for the receipt, size reduction and feeding of secondary fuels, heat recovery units, a power generation unit utilizing waste heat, and a liquid waste treatment unit; and (b) the installation of a carbon dioxide capture and temporary storage system incorporating innovative, large-scale carbon capture technologies.
