It is a scalable CO2 injection and storage project, which will fully utilize the existing facilities in the Gulf of Kavala and will be developed in phases to align with technical and market readiness. The CO2 will be sourced from third parties and can be transported both onshore and offshore. The area of interest is located in the Prinos concession area, where Energean Oil ang Gas S.A. has held a 100% interest and management for the exploration and development of oil and natural gas since 2007. During phase 1, an injection capacity of 1 MTPA of compressed CO2 sources will be developed. In phase 2, the injection capacity may be increased up to 3 MTPA in future phases of the project, subject to technical and commercial viability.
