It consists of an underground storage of natural gas in a depleted natural gas deposit in the maritime area of the District of Kavala and its interconnection with the National Natural Gas System with a 34 kilometer long pipeline, of which 32 kilometers are offshore. The underground storage installation has been undertaken by The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund S.A (HRADF). The estimated cost of the investment will be up to 400 million euros. Moreover, 300 new job positions are expected to be created during the construction phase.
