The company “KOLIOS S.A – HELLENIC DAIRY INDUSTRY”, headquartered in Limnotopos, Polykastro, in the Regional Unit of Kilkis, is applying for its investment project entitled “Investment in the Expansion and Modernisation of Production Capacity through Advanced Technology, Automation and Innovative Production Systems, Incorporating the Principles of the Green Economy, Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development” to be brought under the provisions of the Strategic Investments Law (Law 4864/2021, as amended and in force).
Specifically, the project promoter is seeking the designation of the project as a “Strategic Investment” and, more particularly, its classification under the category of “Emblematic Investments of Exceptional Importance”, pursuant to Article 2(1)(c) of Law 4864/2021, together with the granting of the incentives provided for in Articles 8 and 10 of that Law.
The proposed investment involves the development of a new production facility aimed at expanding the production capacity of the company's existing dairy plant. The investment will be implemented on the company's privately owned site in Limnotopos, Polykastro, covering a total area of 216,596.88 m². The project includes the construction of a new industrial building, the development of the surrounding area, and the installation of new production, packaging, storage and auxiliary equipment.
The total investment cost (excluding VAT) is estimated at approximately EUR 85 million.
